Volunteering at the Center
We LOVE volunteers. Our volunteers are AWESOME.
Would you like to volunteer at the Center? It’s quite easy, and we appreciate it more than we could ever express in words. Our organization runs on volunteers, and without you, we would be nothing.
We ask that volunteers commit at least one shift per month to helping at the Center. Many volunteers do more than that. It’s not a hard job by any means.
On an average night, a volunteer will:
- check veterans in at the front desk
- visit with patrons
- occasionally assist with getting food ready and serving to our veterans
- do a bit of light clean-up (picking up plates, cups, etc)
- wipe off a few tables
Of course, as a volunteer, you get to have dinner with everyone on the night(s) that you volunteer. After all, we can’t have you volunteering on an empty stomach!
